FAQ
Here you will find the answers to the frequently asked questions.
Who does RADIUS serve?
We serve youth referred through the juvenile justice system. Our campus supports up to 24 youth at a time with an average stay of 8.2 months.
How is RADIUS different from other youth programs?
RADIUS takes a trauma-informed, relationship-based approach to care. Unlike many programs, we keep youth connected to their families and community while providing comprehensive support. Through strong partnerships with organizations such as Charles Drew Health Center, and YouTurn, we provide education, mentorship, and therapeutic services that foster long-term growth and behavioral change.
Can families be involved in the program?
Absolutely. Family involvement is at the core of our model. From day one, families are engaged through skill-building, coaching, and care planning. We also host monthly Family Dinner Nights to encourage connection, healing, and open dialogue throughout the program.
How can I refer a youth to RADIUS?
Referrals are made by juvenile justice or child welfare systems. If you’re a caseworker, probation officer, or agency representative, please contact us directly to discuss eligibility, availability, and the next steps for placement
How is RADIUS funded?
RADIUS is primarily funded through state contracts with the Nebraska Departments of Education and Juvenile Probation. We rely on donations and community support to cover the full scope of services we provide, especially those not covered by government funding.
